Our fellow 1:6 enthusiasts across the pond have access to A LOT of 1:6 goodies that we don't normally/routinely have immediate access to on a variety of levels . . . then again we do have access to very good amount of 1:6 goodies that eventually makes it's way from across the pond to the US. With that said . . . Would it be more worthwhile to be a 1:6 collector in HK/Japan with access to 1:6 shops that carries 1:6 goodies more so than say a collector in the US who can access 1:6 goodies, but normally through online dealers/retailers? Thoughts?

Anime style faces that all look like school kids, robot people, odd costumes on most of the plastic population. If you're not into the comic books, it's a weird world. And I wouldn't open those comic books, not for love or money It's hard to point to any other country that's normal though. Nobody seems to be interested in normal 1:6 people. I'm hardly one to talk, having just completed a comic character figure, but I started that in 2002. Usually I'm with the rest of the realism freaks, scrounging non-glove hands and sewing civilian clothes.

Which comes to, what is available on the one side of the pond is offered to the other, and can be purchased online. I don't think waiting for the item to arrive in the mail is a major issue or at least it shouldn't be. After all, its only a hobby. Thats my two cents. Last Edited By: Planettera 06/15/09 22:18:14. I have a cute friend, who is 100% Japanese, but born and raised here, she lived in japan for several years and moved back to the states recently, and she's sad cause there's NOTHING cool to find in the states to get. And as I always said, when it comes to figures, of any scale, all we got are Crappy Star Wars figures that look NOTHING like the characters they are supposed to be, Marvel/DC Super Heros, Power Rangers ( Why won't this lame series die, already?! ), and Pirates of the Carribean figures clogging up clearence isles.

I live in Northern California, approximately halfway between Triad and Junkyspot (Obitsus). What's not to like? There's also a couple of good hobbyshops in San Francisco's Japantown. But where I'm at now is middle of no where with even less import 1/6 etc. shops than the "big states". So I guess I'm happy in USA but gotta love japan's fashion scene, so original, but I'm happy enough with Hot Topic and the stuff I peice together!

And the food...... Sushi doesn't really appeal to me and I think putting eggs on pizza should be a crime.

Con: If I wanted anything from the US, it'll cost more in JPY compared to USD. Night to visit and soak it up one of these days, but I can't see myself living there.
