This post is in response to some recent events , concerning the items you might collect and what they might say about you , the collector or how others might perceive you .
Anyone involved in the 1:6 hobby is well aware of the types of character figures that are available - assassins , serial killers , villains , psychotics of all varieties pack the shelves - based on characters from films , cartoons or original concepts . . . sure there are heroes as well but most people wouldn't think twice if you bought a Superman or a Barack Obama Action Figure - but boy , what if you happened to have picked up the Osama Bin Laden action figure ; does that immediately mark you as a terrorist ?
Does your collection of 105 Momoko Dolls single you out as a pedophile if you happen to be a male and between the ages of 32 and 56 ?
If you are interested in military figures , and despite the fact that your collection of figures ranges from US , to Russian to Italian and Japanese soldiers does the simple fact that your collection is primarily devoted to German military of which 85% of your collection consists make you a Nazi sympathizer and anti-semitic ?
Should we pass judgement on other collectors and single them out for ostracization because they own 45 Ladies Mission Margarate Von Dyan dolls and only bought 1 Hot Toys Rambo doll ? Should we be paranoid and live in fear because of what our collection might be revealing about our inner psychological makeup or is it just good harmless fun that has absolutely NOTHING to do with who we really are as people ?
